Serena Williams Has Been Knocked Out Of The Aussie Open As Wang Qiang Pulls Off The Stunning Upset

LETS GO! Earlier today I picked Serena to win the Australian Open. What an idiot, but what a reverse jinx it was! I really didn't think anyone was going to stand a chance at taking her down over the next week and a half. A few hours later and who but Wang Qiang pulls off the massive upset as a +650 underdog to win in 3 sets. Remarkable. 

Why is it so crazy? These two played each other in the US Open last year. Qiang lost the match in 44 minutes while only winning 15 points and one total game. It was one of the biggest miss matches I've ever seen on a grand slam stage. You felt bad watching it happen. To think she was capable of this kind of upset tonight was nothing short of insane. Serena was -1000 entering the match. There was just no chance, but here we are. Serena is out. Another shot at a grand slam title is gone. The most insufferable athlete not named LeBron is denied once again. Fantastic. Hopefully the winner of Coco or Osaka can make a deep run and grab the title. Who am I kidding, anyone but Serena and I'm happy. The women's bracket of the Aussie Open is wide open.
